Empire Communities, a long-time member of the Greater Houston Builders Association, recently announced that its GHBA Benefit Home was under contract. Empire built the 1,774 sq. ft. Walkerton Plan in Venetian Pines, a Bold Fox development located in Conroe, Texas. Bold Fox donated the homesite.

Dozens of GHBA vendors and suppliers signed on to donate materials and services to ensure the home was built with today’s popular features. It was sold at market value and the proceeds will benefit HomeAid Houston, Operation Finally Home, and the GHBA Charitable Foundation.

Since the Benefit Homes Project began 43 years ago, it has raised more than $13 million. More than 115 homes have been built with approximately 40 different builders taking part.

Empire Communities’ Walkerton floor plan offers four bedrooms, two baths, an open concept kitchen with a dining area and living room. At the back of the Walkerton, is a spacious primary bedroom that features ample privacy and impressive backyard views, as well as an expansive walk-in closet and dual sinks in the primary bath.

Venetian Pines is located in the highly ranked Conroe Independent School District, nestled within the woodlands of Sam Houston National Forest.

“Empire Communities has always been a huge supporter of the GHBA and their charitable efforts,” said Tracy Brown, division president, EHT Houston. “The Benefit Homes Project is an excellent partnership between builder, developer and GHBA for raising valuable funds for local charities. We were honored to work with Bold Fox to secure the lot and with our dozens of loyal vendors, trades and suppliers who didn’t hesitate to provide their donations to ensure this home was built at little cost. We are looking forward to the home’s closing in a few weeks.”

The Empire Communities’ Benefit Home was the second Benefit Home built this year in the Conroe area.
“This is an exciting time for the GHBA Benefit Homes Project,” said Scott Merovitch, chairman of the project. “Partnering with Empire Communities and Bold Fox Development to construct a Benefit Home in the thriving Conroe area, exemplifies a remarkable commitment to our cause. This collaboration not only yields quality-built homes for families and empty-nesters, but also channels much-needed funds to three important charities. We extend our gratitude to Empire Communities, and their generous vendor partners for their dedication and support.”

The first home was built earlier this year by ASGi Homes in a new development of William Reserve East. Ellison Development donated that homesite. The home is currently on the market.
