Greater Houston Builders Association members and staff traveled to Fort Worth July 11-12 to attend the Texas Association of Builders Sunbelt Builders Show at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
GHBA members exhibited alongside 207 other companies from across the state and were among the more than 3,000 registrants who walked the tradeshow floor. The Sunbelt Builders Show recognized outstanding exhibitors with the “Best of Show Exhibitors” awards. GHBA-member Floor & Decor brought home Best of Show Engagement! GHBA was well represented at TAB meetings and networking engagements.
On Thursday evening, GHBA members had a blast attending the “Big Time in Cowtown” event at the iconic Billy Bob’s filled with dancing, pool, mechanical bull riding, a “jail & bail” fundraiser and socializing, all accompanied by delicious food and drinks.

To no surprise, GHBA President Matthew Reibenstein won longest ride and GHBA member Frances Ranes earned the title of Best in Show in the mechanical bull riding tournament. The festivities supported important causes, benefiting HOMEPAC, TAB’s political action committee and the Texas Builders Foundation, TAB’s charitable organization.
The show wrapped up with the 2024 Annual Star Awards. These prestigious awards honored the best in Texas’ residential construction industry. Congratulations to all the GHBA winners!
