Matt Currie, outside sales representative for Legends Architectural Stone has become an active member of the GHBA. He graduated from Redlands Community College in Oklahoma for two years, finishing his degree at the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor degree in Business Administration, majoring in professional sales and minoring in marketing. All while playing collegiate baseball where he manned centerfield and was a lead-off batter. 

Matt joined Legends after years working as a tutor and mentor for collegiate students, a personal trainer and three years at TopGolf as a bartender where he networked and built business relationships. “I enjoyed my time before taking the job at Legends Architectural Stone,” said Matt, “but I am most grateful to be given the opportunity I have with this organization thanks to Pat Wilson.” 

Besides his day job working with Legends’ clients in the production and custom home builder market and managing pool builders, landscapers and the DIY folks, Matt has made his presence known among the building industry through not just work, but his commitment to the GHBA. He has been the chairman for the Associate Council Speakers Committee and recently joined the Custom Builders Council as well as the Bay Area Builders Association. He enjoys attending the numerous Associate Council events with his favorite being the Frank Aranza Adopt-A-Family charity in December. “I love seeing everyone come together in the season of giving,” added Matt. “Seeing the kids get out of the vehicle, seeing Santa and all the presents, and of course everyone there to share in the experience is truly a blessing.”

Matt and his immediate family member Little Dog (who weighs 45 lbs) enjoy brisk evening walks and peanut butter flavored treats (Little Dog, not Matt!) “His tricks are sitting, speaking, whispering and dancing,” said Matt. “For relaxation I enjoy working out and riding my motorcycle.”
