Habitat Montgomery County Hosts Volunteer Recruitment Day

adminCharity Projects

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX, is hosting a volunteer recruitment day at their construction site. The event will be led by organization’s core construction volunteers called The Red Hat Crew. The Red Hat Crew is a group of weekly construction volunteers who have tirelessly given of their time and talents over the last 15-20 plus years to help build or repair nearly 300 homes for the organization. These dedicated community members work to prepare the construction site and assist in leading new builds and repairs.

As an affordable housing non-profit organization and volunteer housing ministry, Habitat Montgomery County aims to empower communities by providing strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. For more than 30-years, the organization has relied on the loving hands of volunteers to help build and repair homes for families participating in Habitat Montgomery County’s programs. These families, and our community, benefit from the hand-up, not a hand-out.

On Thursday, October 27, we invite you to come out to the Cedar Creek subdivision (Habitat Montgomery County’s 100% Habitat Homeowner community) in Conroe, Texas, to swing a hammer with the Habitat staff and Red Hat Crew. We start the day with a safety talk, jump into the hands-on build activity, and conclude with a lunch and learn about our mission and how our weekly volunteer ministry impacts the community by actively helping Montgomery County families secure affordable and safe shelter.
