On October 4, 2017, several Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) members were confirmed in City of Houston commission positions.
Developers Mark Kilkenny, Mischer Investments LP, and Lisa Clark, Ryko Development Inc., were both re-appointed to the City of Houston Planning Commission. Each will serve another term through June 30, 2019. The Planning Commission consists of 24 Houston residents who serve as a quasi-judicious board charged with reviewing development-related plats and plans for the City.
GHBA remodeler Stephen McNiel, Creative Property Restoration Inc., was appointed to the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission, replacing Rob Hellyer, Premier Remodeling & Construction LP, who stepped down after serving for eight years. The Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission is similar to the City’s Planning Commission, however their parameters only include development within historic districts.
