City of Baytown Resumes Inspections

Bradley PepperAdvocacy, Covid-19

When Harris County’s “Stay Home, Work Safe” order went into effect on March 24, the City of Baytown closed its buildings and facilities to the public.

However, beginning last week, the City began accepting requests for all inspections. The actual inspections will be done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They are still conducting critical inspections as requested on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Unfortunately, the City of Baytown does not have an automated system to accept and process new permits. They are actively working on an augmented process for builders to submit new permit applications and to pay for permits online, but they haven’t finalized that process as of now.
