Member-to-member recruitment and retention efforts are the largest source of growth for the association. GHBA’s “Spikes” are the membership leaders, building the voice, power and influence of our industry on every level. Spikes bring grassroots growth and stability, which further develop the general membership and leadership pipeline.

A GHBA member for 26 years, Brian Stevenson is actively involved in several of the association’s councils and committees, but where he truly shines is the Membership Committee, earning Spike of the Year for three years in a row. Brian has brought in a whopping 295 members over the course of his membership, and in 2016, he topped the list with 25 members, his best year to date.

“I am honored to be named Spike of the Year, but I can’t take all the credit,” said Brian Stevenson. “My spikes really began to accumulate three years ago because of the phenomenal success of the Association Health Plan. Companies are joining for the incredible savings afforded them, just one of the many benefits of being a GHBA member.”

Debbie Page and 1st Infiniti are celebrating their 20th year as GHBA members. A long-time supporter of the Membership and Ambassador Committees, Debbie loves to cultivate new members and help them succeed in their first year. She has recruited/retained more than 125 members to the association!

“It really is exciting to see how much the association has grown over the past 20 years,” said Debbie Page. “With each new member, our collective influence and strength grows, and I’m honored to be a part of this ongoing effort.”
