MEMBERSHIP MONDAY SPOTLIGHT

🌟 Meet Jeff Hunt, President of Jeff Hunt Construction, our featured member for #MembershipMonday! 🏡 Here's a look at his journey:

🏠 His start in the industry: Jeff grew up in the homebuilding world — his father was a builder involved in his local HBA. After a 10-year break from construction, Jeff launched his own company in 2002 and turned to GHBA as a resource to help him quickly rebuild his industry knowledge and connections.

👷 GHBA: Jeff has been involved with the GHBA since 2002. He began by serving for the Remodelers Council and Education Committee and later served on the GHBA Board of Directors. Jeff has also held leadership roles at NAHB and TAB, and has earned Remodeler of the Year honors at the local, state and national levels. Jeff has also donated to the GHBA Scholarship Program every year since 2013.

🤝 Charity Work: Jeff’s company served as a HomeAid Builder Captain for a project at Krause Children’s Center and played a key role in the 2006 RMC Habitat for Humanity build. He also gives back through his church, The Foundry and currently serves as Vice President of Hope Disaster Recovery.

🏍️ Passions: In his downtime, Jeff enjoys traveling, riding his motorcycle and fishing along the Texas coast.

🏡 GHBA’s Impact: Being a GHBA member has been the key factor in the growth we’ve experienced. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t interact with a fellow GHBA or NAHB member," Jeff said. "I currently work as an expert witness for multiple law firms throughout the southwest representing builders in various types of litigation. 🌟 Meet Brett Martin, Sr. Vice President of Real Estate Operations for Tilson Custom Homes, our featured member for #MembershipMonday! 🏡 Here's a look at his journey:

🏠 His start in the industry: Brett has been part of the homebuilding industry for 27 years. He began his career in residential lending before joining Tilson Custom Homes in 2010. Today, he oversees real estate operations and plays a key leadership role in getting home built and closed.

👷 GHBA: Brett has been involved with GHBA off and on since 2001 and fully engaged since 2008. He currently serves as Chair of the Volume Builders Committee and is an active participant in the Government Affairs Committee. At the state level, he is the 2025 President of the Texas Association of Builders and a longtime executive officer. Tilson Custom Homes was named TAB’s 2023 Builder of the Year.

🤝 Charity Work: Brett and Tilson Homes have contributed to multiple Operation Finally Home projects, including one featured on Extreme Home Makeover. The company has also donated to local food banks, charities and provided cabins for Christian camps. Personally, Brett serves with his church, supporting inner-city youth, Ukrainian refugees and elderly members needing home maintenance help.

🛠️ Passions: When he’s not working or volunteering, Brett enjoys playing squash, tackling DIY projects and lending a hand to friends and family.

🏡 GHBA’s Impact: “In addition to helping shape the government regulatory environment, I have also formed numerous relationships throughout the years.
