The GHBA is excited to celebrate Edward “Eddie” Martin, Jr., President and CEO of Tilson Home Corporation, on receiving an Exemplary Service in Homebuilding Award from the National Association of Home Builders. As a longtime industry leader, Eddie has dedicated his career to expanding access to homeownership across the nation while strengthening the homebuilding community right here in Houston.
Under his leadership, Tilson has built more than 14,000 homes and pioneered the “build on your lot” model, creating opportunities for families in rural and suburban communities often overlooked by large-scale developers. As a past president of both the Greater Houston Builders Association and the Texas Association of Builders, a proven leader in the NAHB, and a champion for workforce development, advocacy, and ethical leadership, he has helped shape policies that protect affordability while upholding high standards for builders. Beyond business success, Eddie’s philanthropic initiatives have made a lasting impact on the city of Houston. His contributions to HomeAid Houston, Operation Finally Home, Extreme Home Makeover, and the Texas Builders Foundation have played a pivotal role in providing housing for underserved communities.
