GHBA member Jeremy Linzer with Builder’s Post-Tension, recently addressed the Conroe City Council to share his concerns about the negative impact of the citywide water moratorium. Linzer, who lives in Conroe with his wife and two young children, emphasized how the moratorium affects developers, builders, tradespeople and the many businesses that rely on the development industry.
The Conroe City Council first approved a temporary development moratorium for North Conroe in August 2024, and has since extended it multiple times. Following last week’s council meeting, the Council voted 3-2 on May 8 to initiate the process for a citywide moratorium.
GHBA continues to monitor this issue closely and is actively advocating for responsible growth. We encourage members to stay informed, and reach out to the GHBA Government Affairs team with any questions.
