The Greater Houston Builders Association is pleased to welcome the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Houston Chapter back to the GHBA family.
Through this renewed partnership, ASID Houston members once again have the opportunity to join GHBA as Affiliate Members, giving them access to one of the nation’s largest and most influential residential construction networks at a significantly reduced membership rate.
For years, GHBA has partnered with organizations whose members work alongside the residential building industry, including the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR). Like HAR members who choose affiliate membership, eligible ASID Houston members can now enjoy many of the same valuable benefits while strengthening their connections to Houston’s homebuilding community.
The partnership creates a win for everyone involved.
For ASID Houston, affiliate membership provides an exceptional value that enhances the benefits they offer their members. Interior designers gain direct access to homebuilders, remodelers, architects, developers, and construction professionals, relationships that can lead to new business opportunities, collaborative projects, and long-term professional partnerships.
For GHBA and its members, welcoming more design professionals into the association strengthens the collaboration that is essential to creating outstanding homes and communities. Great residential projects are built by teams, and interior designers play an important role in delivering beautiful, functional spaces that meet homeowners’ evolving needs.
Affiliate membership also provides ASID members with access to the resources of not only GHBA, but also the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Members receive access to industry education, professional development opportunities, advocacy efforts, member discounts, rebates, and services available through all three organizations.
Additional affiliate member benefits include:
- Membership in GHBA, TAB, and NAHB through a single affiliate membership.
- A discounted 2026 affiliate membership investment of just $269, compared to the standard Associate membership rate of $889.
- A listing in the GHBA online and annual membership directory under the Interior Design category.
- A complimentary 100-word company or individual profile in Houston Builder magazine, an advertising opportunity valued at approximately $800 and viewed monthly by more than 6,000 industry professionals.
- Invitations to members-only events, educational programs, networking opportunities, and communications from GHBA.
Affiliate memberships are individual memberships, with one designated member receiving all association communications and participation privileges. Companies may enroll multiple employees through separate affiliate memberships, allowing additional designers to become active participants in the association.
As with other affiliate partnerships, these memberships are linked to the sponsoring ASID Houston membership. If the sponsoring membership becomes inactive, the associated affiliate memberships will also become inactive.
Beyond membership benefits, GHBA looks forward to expanding its relationship with ASID Houston through educational collaboration. On September 4, 2026, ASID Houston will host an event at the GHBA office aimed at bringing builders and designers together!
