The Sales & Marketing Council was established as a forum for new home industry professionals to meet, network and exchange ideas. The SMC is committed to the education, motivation and growth of its membership - those who represent the epitome of professionalism in the marketing, merchandising, and sales of new homes. Dinner meetings are held quarterly, and seminars featuring local and national instructors are provided throughout the year to help members achieve industry-related certifications and professional designations. * No meetings in December.

Keith Rodgers, Home Team Pest Defense

Keith Rodgers, a native Houstonian, has been in the home building industry for over a decade. In 1993, he began a career in sales with Kool*Ply, a company that was later bought by Louisiana Pacific. Keith worked with Louisiana Pacific until the year 1997 marketing Tech Shield, formerly Kool*Ply, in multiple states. He then pursued an opportunity to market DuPont Corian to builders in the Houston area. During his time at The Conrad Company, one of the country’s largest Corian distributors, he was recognized by DuPont with a national sales recognition award. Keith is now responsible for the production builder sales for HomeTeam Pest Defense. HomeTeam is the largest pest management company in the nation and offers the Taexx Built in Pest Management System. Throughout his career in the home building industry, Keith has generously volunteered his time at the GHBA. He has served on the board for the Bay Area Builders Association and the Associate Council. At the 2002 PRISM awards, Keith was recognized by his colleagues as the Associate of the Year. Today, you will find Keith serving on several committees as well as serving as immediate past president for the national award winning Sales and Marketing Council. Keith, his wife Dana and their three children reside in the suburbs of Houston and are members of Second Baptist Church in Baytown. He and his wife celebrated 12 years of marriage in May. His 16 year old daughter Jourdan is a sophomore swimmer and water polo player for her high school’s aquatic team and volunteers with the church youth group. His son Rance, 7, is active in swimming, Upward soccer and AWANAs. Their youngest daughter Ryleigh, 3, is doing a good job of keeping up with both her older brother and sister as well as learning the sport of gymnastics.
