The GHBA awarded $52,000 in student scholarships for 2022. Pictured are GHBA CEO Aimee Bertrand (left) and Scholarship Committee Chair Greg Tomlinson (right) with the 2022 recipients.

The GHBA awards student scholarships each year through generous contributions from GHBA members and its councils. Eligible recipients are college-bound children of association members, and participants in official GHBA Workforce Partner Programs.

Thanks to our incredibly generous donors, a record $52,000 was raised for 2022 scholarships, more than 50% more than last year’s funding. Thirteen scholarship recipients were named this year — another record — and each will receive $4,000 toward post-high school studies.

Donations of $4,000 or more are honored with a named scholarship in their honor. A huge thank you to Jeff Hunt Construction for their ninth consecutive donation! Newmark Homes contributed at the named level for the eighth year in a row, and Chesmar Homes came in with two scholarships for the fourth time. Next up is Allpoints Surveying jumping in for a third year and Builder’s Choice for a second year.

Scholarships were also awarded courtesy of Anglia Homes & Manners/Coole Foundation, the GHBA Sales & Marketing Council, the Remodelers Council, and the Associate Council.

New this year, GHBA offered two scholarships in honor of the late Carl J. Stephens of Stephens, Tingley & Associates, who dedicated his career to development and his tireless energy to advocating on behalf of our industry. Thanks to the efforts of his friends and colleagues, more than $60,000 has been raised to create memorial scholarships in his name that will be awarded over the next several years. Those generous donors are included in the list below.

Thank you all for your generous support. GHBA is honored to offer support to students on behalf of the homebuilding industry.
