Best Promotion by an Associate This award will be presented to an Associate Member whose PROMOTION demonstrates the best overall originality, cost effectiveness, ability to meet stated marketing objectives and effective communication. Entries are limited to promotions that DO NOT end with an event. The promotion must have been exposed in at least one public medium such as direct mail, print ad, billboard, radio, television or website. Entries must have appeared in the Houston market during 2007. This award will be presented to the Best Builder or Developer BILLBOARD showing excellence in concept and layout. The design must effectively communicate its purpose in a concise, legible manner. Entries must have first appeared in the Houston market during 2007. This award will be presented to the Builder or Developer illustrating the most well-conceived and executed DIRECT MAIL piece. Entries must be submitted for judging in the business-to-business category and the business-to-business category. The pieces will be judged based on strength of communications, design elements, impact, cost effectiveness and results. Entries must have been first mailed in the Houston market during 2007. Email Marketing Campaign of the Year This award will be presented to the Builder and Developer showing the highest caliber of execution in an E-MAIL MARKETING CAMPAIGN, defined as a connected series of e-mail messages designed to bring about a particular result. To qualify, the campaign must use e-mail as the sole media type. Entries will be judged on creativity and continuity of the theme of the campaign, the expected and achieved results, and excellence in concept, copy, layout, overall design and communication of the campaign's objectives. The entry must have been initially introduced into the Houston market during 2007. EVENT of the Year will be presented to the Builder and Developer whose event demonstrates the best overall originality, cost effectiveness, ability to meet stated marketing objectives and effective communication. Entries are limited to promotions which began with an invitation or announcement and ended with an event. The event must have been exposed in at least one public medium (billboard, TV, radio, etc.) other than, or in addition to, direct mail. Entries must have been first held in the Houston market during 2007. Humanitarian Award of the Year Presented to the company whose charitable efforts most impacted the Houston Community in 2007. Qualifying candidates may include a builder, developer, remodelor or associate GHBA member. Efforts can include fundraisers or donation of time, money, products or services. Marketing Campaign of the Year This award will be presented to the Builder and Developer showing the highest caliber of execution in a MARKETING CAMPAIGN, defined as a connected series of messages or events designed to bring about a particular result. The campaign may be solely in one medium, such as a series of newspaper ads showing a connected theme, or it may be in various media. Entries will be judged on creativity and continuity of the theme of the campaign, the use of appropriate media, the expected results, and excellence in concept, copy, layout, overall design and communication of the campaign's objectives. Campaigns that are promoting an event should be entered as part of the "Event of the Year" category. The entry must have first been introduced into the Houston market during 2007. PRINT AD of the Year will be presented to the Builder and Developer whose Print Ads demonstrate the best overall creative concept, copy, layout, design execution and communication of the creative objective. Entries must have been first published in the Houston market during 2007. PROMOTION of the Year will be presented to the Builder and Developer whose promotion demonstrates the best overall originality, cost effectiveness, ability to meet stated marketing objectives and effective communication. The promotion must have been exposed in at least one public medium (billboard, TV, radio, etc) other than, or in addition to, direct mail. Entries must have been introduced into the Houston market during 2007. RADIO COMMERCIAL of the Year will be presented to the entry judged to be the most effective at meeting the communication objectives, as well as for production techniques, creativity and impact. Entries may be of any length. Entries must have aired in the Houston market during 2007. This award will be presented to the Builder, Developer, and Custom Builder who’s SALES BROCHURE demonstrates the best overall theme, graphic design, use of photography and visuals, and effective communication to the target market. Entries are to be product-oriented brochures used by on-site personnel in the direct selling effort for a builder. Entries must have been first displayed in the Houston market during 2007. TV/ Video Promotion of the Year TV/VIDEO PROMOTION of the Year will be presented to the entry judged most effective at meeting its communications goals, as well as for production techniques, creativity and impact. Entries must not exceed 120 seconds. Entries must have aired in the Houston market during 2007. This Award Will be Presented to the Builder, Developer, and Custom Builder Showing the Best Overall WEBSITE. Judging is based on theme, graphic design, communication, user friendliness, navigation and cost effectiveness. Last year's winner may enter only if the website has had significant changes. |
